  • Origin of name : The name of Baekasan Mountain came from its appearance that the mountain has so many grizzled rocks that they look like white geese huddle together.
  • Surroundings : With Madangbawi as the center, we can see: groups of rocks in north-west; long Bamdeung in southeast; Shiamgol between them; Mudeungsan Mountain in distance and Mohusan Mountain in south and Jogyesan Mountain having Songgwangsa Temple to their side; and Tongmyeongsan Mountain in the north-east.
